Essay Competition

Each year CSAK hosts a national essay competition targeting postgraduate students from all universities in Kenya. The essay competition is to be undertaken individually. The topic for each year is suggested at the beginning of the year, and a call to participate sent out in August to all interested and eligible persons.  The entries of essays are to be submitted by October and judged before the end of the year.

The  best three essays will  be published on the CSAK website and in the subsequent newsletter. The winning postgraduate students will be sponsored to attend the workshops  that will be held in the following year.

The essay competition is aimed at sensitizing students to write and explore matters on science and Christian Faith.

Thanks to our grant from the Templeton World Charity Foundation, Inc. (TWCF), we will be able to offer great prizes for the best essays:

First prize:         Kshs. 100,000

Second prize:    Kshs. 60,000

Third prize:       Kshs.  40,000
